Extended Hours Provision

Extended Hours Provision

Normal school operating hours are from 8:45am - 3:15pm.  Class 1 pupils are dropped at the side door to the hall.  Children in Classes 2, 3 and 4 are dropped on the main playground.

Early Birds Club runs from 8:00am each morning.  Sessions must be pre-booked.  Parents may drop their children off between 8:00am and 8:10am, and they will be cared for in the club, accessing a range of toys and activities, until the start of the school day.  Breakfast is not provided - it is expected that children will eat before they arrive.  Early Birds Club costs £4 per day and may be booked termly in advance (recommended to secure your place) or on an ad hoc basis weekly (space permitting).  A booking form for Early Birds Club may be found below.  Payments for this club can only be made by cash or cheque.

After school sports/arts clubs run from 3:15pm to 4:15pm daily and vary from term to term.  We work with several external partners, as well as running some clubs in-house.  After school clubs run by the school are charged at £4 per session.  Costs for external club providers may differ.  Booking information is sent out towards the end of each term, for parents to book ahead for the next term.  Bookings are made and paid for via Parent Pay, or using the direct website booking systems of our sports partners.

Currently we are working with the following sports partners:

  • Carol Hicks (Hockey Club)
  • Oxford Utd (Football Club)
  • Chinnor RFC (Tag Rugby Club)
  • Elite Youth Sports (Multi-sports club - varies seasonally)

In-house we currently offer:

  • Mini-sports club
  • Mini Art Club
  • Key Stage 2 Art and Craft Club

If your child qualifies for the Pupil Premium Grant, you may be able to access free provision in Early Birds or  After School Clubs (but not extended hours care).  Please enquire at the school office for more information.

Extended Hours Care

After school care up runs from the end of the school day (3:15pm) until 5:15pm and is run as two concurrent sessions, with the option to book for just the early session, the late session following a sports/arts club, or both childcare sessions.  The after school care clubs are called Busy Bees and Chill Zone.

Busy Bees Club and Chill Zone are run by Mrs Lisa Thompson, our after school club leader.  The first session (Busy Bees) is a multi-activity club, with a mixture of structured and unstructured play opportunities.  These vary according to the weather, the time of year, and the interests and ages of the children.  The cost of this club is £4 per session.  The second session (Chill Zone) takes the tempo down a little, with some quieter activities, for example stories, colouring, puzzles and board games.  The cost of this club is £5 per session.  Food is not provided, but children attending the later session (Chill Zone) are encouraged to bring a suitable snack from home that will be eaten at the start of the session.

Children may attend:

  • Busy Bees only from 3:15 – 4:15pm (£4)

  • Busy Bees followed by Chill Zone from 3:15 – 5:15pm (£9)

  • Chill Zone from 4:15 – 5:15pm (£5) following attendance at a sports/art club which runs from 3:15 – 4:15pm.

Please be very clear, when booking, which sessions you require.  If children have been to a sports/arts club and are going on to attend Chill Zone, their club leader will ensure they are delivered to the right place.,
