We deliver a Music curriculum based on the "Charanga" English Model Music Curriculum Scheme.

Charanga’s English Model Music Curriculum Scheme is aligned with the National Curriculum for Music and the non-statutory Model Music Curriculum (MMC) Guidance published by the DfE in 2021. The scheme follows a spiral approach to musical learning, with children revisiting, building and extending their knowledge and skills incrementally. This means that their learning is consolidated and built upon, increasing confidence.

When creating our long term planning cycles, we choose units from the scheme to ensure a breadth and balance of musical genres and styles are taught in each year group.
