On Wednesday 5th July 2017 we held our annual School Games Sports Day. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we welcomed spectators from our local community to enjoy an afternoon of sporting talent and achievement.
The first part of the afternoon was the inclusive, "round robin" of activities designed to showcase pupils' skills in disciplines such as speed and stamina trials, running and jumping. These activities were undertaken in House Groups, with the older pupils taking on the role of Sports Leaders and ensuring the active participation of all within their teams.
The second part of the afternoon was the individual flat races - sprint, hurdles and long distance. All of our 103 pupils participated in every event. As well as receiving recognition for their individual placements in the races, children earned points for their houses, with Fire House eventually emerging triumphant and Water House the close runners up.
